My second choice by Baby Deedee is made for slightly younger kids because it’s designed as a baby sleeping bag too.

The shoulder snaps make it really simple to put on or take off, even when your little one is wiggling every which way.

One thing that I’m not a big fan of, though, is the inverted zipper.

Even though it’s safer than a regular one, I still wish it had some type of cover so the baby would be completely protected from getting scratched.

However, apart from the size, there really aren’t any big differences between the smaller and bigger model.

All of the benefits are the same, such as temperature adjustment and easy cleaning.

To adjust the size you still need to adjust the snaps under the arms, so that hasn’t changed either.

What does set this model apart from other sleep sacks for toddlers is the fact that there aren’t any leg openings.

This makes walking around a bit difficult.

I don’t see this as a significant drawback, though, as it is a sleep sack after all, and its primary purpose isn’t to be worn as pajamas.

So what’s the difference, you might ask.

Obviously, wool is out of the picture and has been replaced by organic cotton, which is still pretty great news.

In case you’re unfamiliar with organic cotton and why it’s better than the “regular” one, I’ll break it down really quickly.

First off, organic cotton is kinder to the environment since it doesn’t use a lot of water.

Plus, it also isn’t sprayed with insecticides, pesticides, and other -ticides that you probably don’t want anywhere near your baby’s clothing.

However, while I am a fan of all things organic, you should keep in mind that this material is ideal for warmer temperatures and climates.

That means that if you’re used to keeping your home in the 60-degree temperature range, this wearable blanket might not be warm enough.

Although, you can always pick out a warmer pair of pajamas for your toddler to wear underneath the Ecolino and that should solve the problem!

One of the best features of the Ecolino blanket is the zipper that goes two ways, so changing that nighttime diaper will be easy.
