Another great feature is the cushioned seat, which will make your kids feel really comfortable and make dinner time a little easier.

If it gets stained (and let’s be real, it will), there’s no need to worry since it’s machine washable.

It’s super easy to move around as well since it has wheels and you can roll it to any part of your house.

Assembly is pretty straightforward too.

But the best part is that you can remove the tray and pop it in the dishwasher for cleaning!

This portable high chair only weighs 4.2 pounds and fits easily with most countertops or tables.

But its compact size doesn’t mean it’s not comfortable, as it comes with a cushioned seat that will ensure your baby’s comfort even as they throw peas all over the floor.

When it comes to cleaning, it’s safe for the washing machine and even comes with a handy pocket where you can stash toys, wet wipes, or any other baby gear.

It’s safe to use for babies as young as 6 months until they reach 37 pounds.

Even if you already have a baby chair at home, I’d definitely recommend looking into the Inglesina, especially if you travel a lot.

Yes, you can remove the seat cushion and put it in the wash, but it’s difficult to remove because of the numerous seat straps it comes with.

Unfortunately, if you’d like to clean a small stain only with a wet wipe or cloth, you’re out of luck, because the fabric stains easily.

But I still consider this one of the best high chairs of 2022 because it’s great value for money, it grows with your baby, and you can take it anywhere with you.

For those of you who cannot resist simple, sleek designs that will fit nicely with the rest of your interior, the Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair might just be the answer to your prayers.

Yes, it’s on the far end of the expensive spectrum, but hear me out.

This model is considered a classic and with good reason.

It’s made out of high quality and sturdy European beech wood and, while it may not look like it, this model can also grow with your child and provide great support at the same time.

And when I call it sturdy, I mean it – it can handle an adult as heavy as 300 pounds!

Safe for babies as young as 6 months, it can be used for years as you can turn it into a seat for kids.

The footrests are adjustable to both height and depth, and the five-point harness makes sure your little one is strapped in nice and tight.

Since the entire model is made out of wood, it’s super convenient to just wipe down.

So what’s the catch, you might ask.

Well, for one, it doesn’t come with a cushion, so you’d have to purchase it separately and that adds to its cost.

But some parents say their kids are doing just fine without it, so it’s not a necessity.

And compared to the other models I’ve mentioned above, you can’t use it as a recliner when your baby is an infant. By the time you decide to buy the Tripp Trapp, your little one should be able to sit on their own.

6. JOOVY Nook High Chair

Then there’s the JOOVY Nook High Chair, which is not as convertible as other models, but on the plus side, it’s not heavy and is easy to transport.

The seat doesn’t recline either, so if this is a deal-breaker for you, you might want to consider another option.

On the plus size, the eating tray has a removable cover that can be washed in the dishwasher.

Also, the seat is made out of fake leather that’s simple to wipe down.

And if you need to quickly lift your baby out, the tray swings out so you don’t need to go through the entire hassle of inserting and reinserting it.

The 5-point harness keeps your baby safe and in place, and there is an additional bar to prevent your baby from accidentally sliding out of their seat.

When your little one gets a bit taller, there’s a footrest to help them develop good posture.

But the main reason why it’s on my list of the best high chairs of 2022 is that it doesn’t need any assembly! That’s right, all you need to do is get it out of the box and you’re good to go.

Plus, it’s very budget-friendly, especially when compared to the Stokke Tripp Trapp or the next model on my list, the OXO Tot Sprout High Chair.

7. OXO Tot Sprout Chair with Tray Cover, Taupe and Birch

This high chair is actually an update of an older model, called the OXO Tot Seedling.

Equipped with a 5-point harness, this chair is a great option for babies as young as 6 months and toddlers up to 5 years of age.

Moms love it because it’s compact and comes with a removable tray that’s dishwasher-safe.

The seat padding is also easy to clean, but watch out for food finding its way below the cushions (and then inside your kid’s mouth!)

While you will find many models that come with roller wheels, the OXO Tot Sprout isn’t one of them. So if you’re used to rolling the chair around the kitchen, this might not be a good choice.

The seat doesn’t recline either, so your baby should know how to sit upright before you set it up in your kitchen.

On the plus side though, it’s very heavy and sturdy, so there are fewer chances that your child could get hurt.

When you fold it down it is 80 percent smaller than usual, so you can slide it in a closet or next to your fridge and forget about it until it’s time to eat.

The seat pad is resistant to stains and safe for the washing machine, but food can get stuck underneath it, so it’s something to keep an eye out for when you’re cleaning.

9. Baby Trend Sit Right High Chair

To go back to budget-friendly options, the Baby Trend Sit Right High Chair is perfect for babies who can sit upright without the help of parents and can continue to use it until they reach 40 pounds.

Don’t be fooled by the price, since this model offers features that even some of the more pricey chairs don’t have.

For example, there are 3 reclining levels and you can adjust the height 6 different ways.

The frame is made out of steel, so there’s no need to worry about sturdiness and you can easily clean the tray in the dishwasher.

Unfortunately, this chair doesn’t have wheels (but neither do some of the pricier models), so sadly you cannot use it as an indoor stroller.

And the footrest is fixed, so you cannot move it up or down depending on how tall your baby is.

When it comes to safety features, it has a 3-point harness, so you should really make sure your baby can sit on its own before purchasing this model, otherwise it’s a huge safety issue.

And if you have a small kitchen, it’s best to pass on the Baby Trend chair.

10. 4moms High Chair

Do you have a toddler on your hands who is now learning how to eat out of a bowl?

If you do, you probably wish you could superglue it down to the tray because your kid finds it absolutely hilarious to throw it on the ground.

Easy peasy! And it has wheels so you can roll it around.

While it is really simple to assemble, it takes up quite a bit of space and doesn’t fold, so unless you have a roomy kitchen or dining room, this might be a dealbreaker.
