Cyber Monday Baby Deals Guide
It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced mommy or a newbie – shopping on Cyber Monday isn’t a piece of cake for anyone.
The truth is that it’s difficult to find the best deal amongst all those offers.
Where to start? What sites to visit? When to begin with the hunt? What to focus on the most? How to make the best out of this shopping with the least money spent?
I’m sure all of these questions (and some more) ring a bell. Maybe you’re feeling lost and need some guidance – especially if this is your first time hunting for Cyber Monday deals for baby stuff.
I’ll confess: I felt just like you a few years ago. But with time, I’ve gathered some precious experience about this sale and I’m more than willing to share it with you.
1. Use the time to your advantage
Cyber Monday hasn’t started yet. That means that you still have plenty of time to think thoroughly about your shopping list.
Also, sign up for different newsletters. This is an option many websites provide and something that can help you catch the best quality offers.
Besides this, they’ll notify you when the Cyber Monday baby deals start.
Another way to save some extra money is to use coupons, gift cards, or discount codes at checkout.
Finding coupons and discount codes has never been easier, in most cases, you can just Google them.
Often, many sites offer extra discounts for their social media followers, so make sure to check their profiles before you actually make any purchases.
Among other things, this is also the moment to become a premium member on some sites. Besides having two-day free shipping, Amazon Prime members have access to some additional discounts and sales, as well. So trust me – Amazon Prime membership is worth it!
2. Focus on more expensive baby items
You’re probably wondering how to decide what’s essential for your little ray of sunshine. If it were up to you and you weren’t on a budget, chances are you’d literally buy everything in stock.
This, however, is unlikely, so there are some things you should pay special attention to.
Baby gear, car seats , strollers , swaddles, playards, breastfeeding essentials (including breast pumps ), WIFI video baby monitors, high chairs, baby bassinets , and other more expensive baby products should be on the top of your list.
However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t buy baby food or baby diapers if you catch them at a discount.
This especially goes for baby clothing. If you’re a new mom , you’ll see that you can never have too many clothes for your little one.
Besides, they grow so fast, so an opportunity to buy inexpensive clothing is one you shouldn’t miss.
Also, another great thing is gift sets – here you usually get an extra discount since you’re buying more items for your little one at once.
At the end of the day, what matters is that you buy the things your baby actually needs. Don’t purchase anything out of fear of missing out.
Don’t buy items just because they’re on sale if you’d never look at them if it weren’t Cyber Monday.
3. Draw up a plan
Basically, you’ll find everything from soup to nuts on discount on Cyber Monday.
So, that must mean that you should buy everything you can afford, including the things you’ll probably never use, just because they’re much cheaper now, right?
Not a chance! Instead, this is the trap you should avoid falling into at all costs.
The most important thing here is knowing what to buy and what not to buy. First and foremost, you have to decide what things would be a complete waste of money right now.
For starters, make a detailed list of the things you plan on buying. Investigate all options before you pick the perfect baby item.
Don’t get ahead of yourself by buying the first thing you run into. Instead, do your research and find the best possible deal.
Don’t be lazy – compare the prices of your desired product on all the sites you can find (you can do it manually or use specialized sites).
4. Set a budget
What amount of money do you plan on spending this Cyber Monday? Think it through and keep that money aside.
Whatever you do, don’t spend a dime above that.
Setting a budget before every big purchase is a must. Otherwise, you’ll probably end up bankrupt, with a bunch of things you don’t actually need.
5. Shop Safely
Online shopping can be very dangerous, especially on these discount days.
Hackers use mass madness to steal your data and your money. That’s why you have to follow these tips and tricks for shopping safely.
To start with, experts advise you not to connect to a public, unsecured WiFi. The first hazard here is the possibility of receiving malware.
However, what is even more dangerous is the possibility of hackers gaining access to all of your data, which includes your credit card info.
If you have no other choice but to use a public wireless network, at least protect your connection with a VPN.
Another crucial thing is to use different passwords for different apps. This especially goes for your banking apps, which is obviously directly connected to the money flow.
Experts advise you to use only one credit card for shopping. Besides assisting you in keeping track of how much money you spend, it will also make it easier for you to notice potential fraud.
Remember that PayPal is always more secure than direct credit card payment, so use it whenever it’s available.
Finally, stay away from deals that seem unreliable and impossible. If a website offers you branded clothing or other products at unrealistic prices and with shady photos, it’s probably fraud!
6. Return policy
Sometimes, you read all the reviews for a product but despite that, you are disappointed when it arrives. Maybe you’re not pleased with the quality or you consider the photos to be deceiving.
Either way, you always have the right to return the purchased item. Every retailer has a return policy that you have to pay special attention to.
What is the timeframe in which returns are accepted? Do they have a return or a refund policy? What items can be returned and why? Do you pay the shipping if you decide to send the merchandise back?
Don’t buy anything until you have all of these questions answered.
7. Free shipping
There is absolutely no point in finding a great deal if the price of the shipping is higher than the actual product’s price.
I bet this problem sounds familiar since we’ve all been there at least once.
That is why you should focus only on the merchandise with free shipping. Or you can always become a member of Amazon Prime that gives you this amazing option, among others.
In Conclusion
I’m sure that you’ll find something for your little ray of sunshine in this year’s Cyber Monday baby deals – you just have to play your cards right.
Follow my guidebook and remember that cheaper isn’t always better. Good luck!
