Finding a high-quality stroller that fits your budget can be a challenge.
However, this task becomes even more challenging when you’re tall and realize you’ve got to find the best stroller for tall parents, or else you won’t be able to enjoy walks with your little bundle of joy.
Before having kids, I didn’t understand the differences between strollers and how important some features are because I thought the stroller just serves to help you take your baby from point A to point B.
After having a baby, I finally realized how difficult it can be to find the perfect stroller for your little one.
Tall people find it difficult to use most of the strollers that are available on the market because they’re made with non-adjustable handles for the average person.
Therefore, I have gathered a collection of the best strollers for tall parents that’ll make your life easier and save you from future back pain caused by poor posture.
This list also includes the best double strollers for tall parents which can be used for twins or for kids of different ages.
I’m sure you’ll find at least one model that’ll tick all the boxes.
For all of you busy moms, here’s a quick list of our top picks!

This model is one of the more budget-friendly strollers that won’t disappoint you.
These types of strollers are the reason I still believe that cheaper doesn’t necessarily mean bad quality.
Chicco claims this model has an innovative handle that enables a one-hand quick fold.
It also has rotating front wheels for easier folding and storage.
This stroller is completely safe for children above 6 months of age with its five-point harness and padded shoulder straps for additional safety.
However, the thing that I like most is the breathable 3D mesh which enables extra safety and comfort while the removable canopy protects your child from the sun.
The comfort of the stroller is boosted by a reclining seat that can be positioned in three different ways.
And, babies are not the only ones who can enjoy the maximum comfort of this stroller – parents are delighted by the extendable padded handlebar that can be used in three different positions (tall parents are over the moon because of this feature).
The aluminum frame is quite lightweight and can easily be carried without any additional help.
The wheels are filled with foam for a smooth ride, but I wouldn’t suggest going off-road with this model, as the manufacturer doesn’t recommend it.
The Chicco stroller can also turn into a travel system, but only with Chicco’s Key Fit 1 and 2 car seats with adapters that need to be bought separately.
On the positive side of things, you don’t have to worry about carrying too many things with you because this model contains a large storage basket, trays for children and parents, as well as cup holders.
I may sound a bit too excited about these additions, but trust me, there’s no better feeling than walking as free as a bird and not needing to carry an enormous diaper bag on your shoulder!
2. JOOVY Kooper Lightweight Stroller
- Biggest wheels of any compact stroller on the market for a smooth ride and easy, one-handed push
- Super easy one-handed fold. Folds WITH the included tray!
- Customizable recline, more headroom and a wider seat. Adjustable 3-position footrest. Seat fabric is removable and machine-washable.

Fragile umbrella strollers became a thing of the past when durable lightweight ones like Joovy Kooper appeared on the market.
Joovy Kooper is considered to be an excellent lightweight stroller that can easily convert to a travel system.
The main advantage of this stroller is that it’s compatible with more than thirty different infant car seat models.
Another great thing about this model is that it fits babies older than three months all the way up to preschool age.
The sun canopy offers water protection as well, so there’s no need to worry even if rain starts to fall during your afternoon walk.
Folding a stroller can turn into a frustrating task, especially when you have to carry your baby and try to find the straps and closing mechanism that need to be pushed at the same time.
Luckily, the Kooper model offers a one-hand folding mechanism that doesn’t require taking off the child’s tray, so there’s no need to juggle your baby and the stroller all in the middle of the street.
The seat reclines to any position that fits your little one and it even comes with an adjustable footrest, which can be set in three different positions.
This stroller has a peek-a-boo window, which is something most parents look for in a stroller to offer them peace of mind during long walks.
The stroller seat can be removed and thrown in the wash, which is one of my favorite things about this stroller.
However, it doesn’t have an adjustable handlebar height like Joovy’s other model, the Groove Ultralight umbrella stroller.
The non-adjustable stroller handle might be a con for taller parents, but the height of the stroller shouldn’t be a problem even for those above average height.
Both models are equipped with a five-point safety harness that can be adjusted according to your child’s needs.
The Kooper model boasts chunky wheels that offer maximum comfort and security, even though the manufacturer doesn’t recommend using the strollers on bumpy terrains.
Joovy Kooper is definitely on the top picks of budget-friendly lightweight umbrella strollers for tall parents, even with the non-adjustable handlebar.
3. UPPAbaby G-LUXE Stroller
- NEW! 2018 model G-LUXE Stroller
- One-handed actuated recline and adjustable footrest
- Large stretch knit canopy with extendable UPF 50+ sunshade for great sun and wind protection
- Easy to remove washable fabrics

UPPAbaby is a well-known brand in the world of baby equipment and accessories.
From strollers to car seats and all the additional equipment that may come with each, UPPAbaby makes sure your baby is safe and comfortable during rides.
I’m really satisfied with their products because they’re:
• Stylish
• Comfortable
• Easily transportable
• Budget-friendly
This stroller is among the most lightweight umbrella strollers on the list which makes it convenient for transport.
It’s easily foldable as well and can be carried on one shoulder because of the carry strap (the best feature if you ask me).
When it comes to the seats, they can be reclined in three different positions to create maximum comfort for the baby.
The sun canopy comes with an extendable sunshade, but it doesn’t have a peek-a-boo window so you can’t really check on your baby until you stand in the front.
The G-Luxe model comes with tons of storage and a cup holder, a feature that isn’t always included, even on some high-end strollers.
The handlebars aren’t adjustable, but they’re much higher than some other models, such as Maclaren’s Techno XT stroller or most Bugaboo models.
The overall experience with UPPAbaby’s model is satisfying, especially for parents who are looking for a budget-friendly option for transportation.

As far as double strollers go, this is the best stroller for tall parents and one of the best quality models on the market.
Tall people love this model because it has an adjustable handlebar that offers nine different positions for the best comfort during walks or jogging.
Many parents claim this model is the best jogging stroller for tall parents, although the Thule Urban Glide 2 double stroller isn’t far behind.
Despite the adjustable handlebars, tall people might still have trouble jogging without kicking the back of the stroller.
If you’re wondering what makes this stroller the best for jogging, I’d say there are several factors that make it stand out from the others, including:
• Great push (easy to move)
• Big air-filled wheels in the back and a single-wheel at the front with a great suspension system
• Perfect wheel control
The stroller seats can be reclined to an almost flat position which offers maximum comfort to your little one.
However, the seat fabric can’t be removed, therefore it’s not machine-washable and you’ll have to wash spots out by hand.
This model can be turned into a travel system, but for one child only.
The adapters for Graco and Peg Perego car seats need to be bought separately.
The sun canopy is huge – and I mean really huge – and I love it!
It comes with large peek-a-boo windows, so you can supervise your little ones without any problems.
The old model offered a variety of colors, which is what I miss most.
The new model features only two different shades of black and grey with a web-like pattern on the canopy.
The main point of the web pattern is visibility – the pattern is super reflective and you can easily be seen even during the early morning or late-night jogs.
This stroller might be more on the expensive side, but it’s definitely worth every penny.
Unfortunately, the previous version of the BOB stroller, BOB Revolution Pro, was discontinued.
Most parents loved this model because of the hand brake that was very helpful, especially on the downhill.
Even though the new version doesn’t have a hand brake, the improved design makes it a worthy investment for the first years of your child’s life.
Just keep in mind, the manufacturer doesn’t recommend jogs or off-terrain walks with babies under 8 months old, only slow walks that won’t risk your little one’s health.
The Flex model is a great choice if you’re looking for a stroller for the beach as it has chunky tires.
All in all, if you’re looking for the best umbrella stroller for tall parents and a perfect lightweight dual stroller, search no more because this model has everything you need.
5. Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Double Stroller
- Forever air rubber tires with all-wheel suspension provide a comfortable stroll on any terrain
- Adjustable handlebar and hand-operated parking brake provide comfortable steering and control, all within an arms reach
- Customize your ride for 4 different modes of use with accessories like the infant car seat, pram, glider board, parent console, child tray, and more (sold separately)

Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is one of the best strollers for parents of all sizes who are looking for a high-quality stroller for twins.
This double stroller is very elegant because of its sleek design, although the wheels do seem a bit chunky. However, that’s a pro for me because chunky wheels mean that the stroller can be used off-road as well!
It’s an all-terrain stroller that’s suitable for all sorts of surfaces and it’s easy to maintain.
This model is perfect for babies because the seats can recline into an almost flat position for maximum comfort that can last for years (until your kiddo is over 50lbs).
Baby Jogger can be turned into a travel system by using infant car seats from Britax, Graco, Cybex, or Maxi Cosi together with adapters that are separately sold for each model.
Sun protection is an essential part of leaving the house, especially during the first few years of life and Baby Jogger protects your children with big UPF 50+ magnetic sun canopies.
However, one of the best features for all parents is the easy fold system, which doesn’t require any struggle with complicated mechanisms or seat removal.
All you have to do is find the straps in the seat, pull them, and let the stroller fold itself – then simply close the auto-lock feature that’ll prevent the stroller from unfolding.
Finally, it features an adjustable handlebar just like the previous Baby Jogger City Mini GT double stroller.
However, the GT2 model comes with a redesigned frame and better fabric, which makes it easier to use than the older GT model.
6. Baby Trend EZ Ride 35
- Stroller designed for children up to 50 pounds and up to 42
- Dual front wheels for superior maneuverability
- Large canopy with peek-a-boo window and large storage basket
- Height-adjustable handle and covered parent tray is great for mom and dad

This is one of the most budget-friendly travel systems on the list – the price is so good that it might even make you wonder why the price is so low.
The good news is there’s nothing wrong with this travel system.
You’ll receive the EZ Ride stroller along with the Ally 35 car seat for your infant, which has also received a lot of positive feedback.
Both the car seat and the stroller secure your little one with a five-point safety harness to keep maximum stability and safety during walks or rides.
The car seat is easily mounted to the stroller and you can use it until your baby is stable enough to sit by herself.
The stroller seat can be reclined, so it’s quite easy to find a position that fits all ages, except newborns who still can’t hold their head up without additional support.
Both the stroller and car seat have a peek-a-boo window which offers additional safety during walks or transportation.
The handles are adjustable which makes it a perfect fit for tall people, as well.
When it comes to the car seat, the manufacturer states that this model can last up to six years from the date of manufacture.
It’s not recommended to continue using the same car seat after the expiration date.
However, if the car seat is involved in a car accident it’s no longer safe for use and I would strongly recommend that you buy a new one – even if it looks unscathed.
Car seats may not look damaged after a smaller accident, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any microdamage that might cause a serious safety issue in the future.
To conclude, Baby Trend is one of the greatest surprises not only for tall parents but in general.
This stroller and car seat combo is perfect for all parents who are on a budget but want to find a good baby stroller for their little one.
7. Britax B-Ready G3 Stroller
- Age/Weight Capacity: 6 months to 55 lbs
- The 4-position recline makes it easy to accommodate sleeping infants or attentive toddlers.
- Reversible top seat lets your child ride facing you or looking out at the world.
- Foam-filled rubber tires with frame suspension system provide a smooth ride without the hassle of air-filled tir

If you’re looking for a sturdy stroller that enables you to take your kiddo anywhere you want to go, B-Ready G3 is definitely the stroller you need.
Many parents using this stroller claim that B-Ready has the best maneuverability and folding mechanism, even the double model.
However, truth to be told, this stroller is not lightweight at all, so it’ll require a bit of work when you have to carry it (it can carry up to 55lbs so the weight is certainly justified).
It comes with a reversible seat which is an excellent feature, especially during the first year of life.
Although it’s great that the stroller can be used for two kids with the help of extra accessories, I’m not that crazy about how the lower seat is set under the main one but this is just a personal preference.
The good thing is that if you own a Britax car seat, it doesn’t require any special adapters.
However, if you want to use brands such as Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, or Nuna, you’ll need to buy an adapter.
While Britax is a decent convertible stroller, I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s the best one mostly because of the lower seat being stacked under the stroller seat. But, if you’re using it for only one child then that’s not an issue.
In terms of adjustability, G3 will serve your 6-month-old (and above) with four different positions that’ll offer maximum comfort.
A stroller seat is not recommended for infants up to 6 months old because none of the modes are safe for the baby.
The canopy offers great protection from the sun as well as ventilation for solid airflow, and a velcro window that lets you supervise your child during walks.
I really want to say that there’s a big storage basket underneath the seat and there is one, indeed.
However, if you use it for two kids, you’re left without most of the room, so I wouldn’t pack too many things if I were you.
But, you don’t have to worry about how to get to your belongings once they’re in the basket.
Your baby can stay in her place and you can get what you need through the zipper opening, which is positioned at the front of the stroller.
The handles can be adjusted to different heights and most tall parents say they don’t have any problems with it.
The best parts of this stroller are definitely the brakes and maneuverability.
B-Ready has a single-pedal braking system, so all you have to do is step on the pedal and check whether the indicator is red (locked) or green (released).
You can choose whichever terrain you wish and this model won’t disappoint you.
G3 is probably one of the best strollers for tall parents.
It can hop a curb without any problems or go over bumpy terrain without losing control because of the all-wheel suspension.
The rubber wheels are filled with foam, so they’ll never go flat, unlike air-filled models.
I’d say folding is the easiest part of handling this model, but getting it into a car is a different story.
The stroller automatically locks as soon as it’s folded, but most parents who use this model say it takes some serious strength to put it in the trunk.
Also, some parents have said the stroller is a little too big for their trunk, even folded.
This stroller is a really good choice for tall parents, but generally speaking, there are better ones on the market.
The seating order didn’t impress me at all and most of the other features are almost the same as other strollers in the same price range.
However, if there are a lot of hills where you live or you have to hop curbs quite often, you won’t find a better stroller for your kids.
8. Baby Jogger City Select Single Stroller
- The Stroller: Our most versatile yet, the City Select grows with your family and could be the only convertible stroller youll ever need

The Baby Jogger City Select is available as a single or a double stroller that can even fit three kids (if you buy the glider board).
It’s a very comfortable model that’s a bit on the expensive side, which is no surprise considering that it has 16 seating positions.
Baby Jogger is not lightweight, as you can imagine.
It has a sturdy frame, so it might be heavy, but at least your children will be fully protected.
It’s compatible with certain car seats from Britax, Chicco, Nuna, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, Graco, and Peg-Perego – all you need to do is purchase the adapter which fits the car seat model you already own.
I love the way the seating is organized on the Baby Jogger double stroller – both of your children face the front, one below the other, so there’s still plenty of room for both of them and for storage.
The five-point safety harness is also there to keep your little one secure in her seat.
The front-facing seats enable you to have a lot of room behind the stroller so you won’t kick the back of the lower seat as is frequently the case with other models.
You might find the multi-position features a bit too overwhelming to figure out, so the best way to avoid any confusion is to choose one position that fits your needs and the needs of your kids and stick to it most of the time.
On the plus side, you can stop the stroller with a single-hand move as there’s a parking brake on the side!
Adjustable handlebars are another plus because they can adjust to fit a range of heights.
It’s not so difficult to maneuver the stroller, the front wheel swivels when needed, but they lock in place whenever you go back to a smooth surface.
However, this model is quite long, so it takes a bit more push to get it started, which is not a good idea for hilly terrain, especially as the babies grow older.
When it comes to folding, the stroller is easily foldable if you use both hands, but you need to remove the additional seat first.
However, I’m very pleased with how compact this model is, I’d even dare to say it’s the most compact convertible stroller on the market.
This model has a great design, a durable frame, and tons of space for your little ones, as well as for the tall parents who won’t kick the back of the stroller anymore.
It’s also one of the best sit and stand models around.
However, if you live on a hill or have to go over bumpy terrain, City Select may not be the stroller you’re looking for.
9. Delta Children Revolve Reversible Stroller
- REVERSIBLE SEAT STROLLER: Rear and forward-facing reversible seat allows your child to face you or the world | Ideal for infants through 50 lbs. | Convert stroller into convenient travel system with car seat adapter #10080 (sold separately)

Many parents consider the Delta Children stroller to be one of the most comfortable models for babies and toddlers.
A sturdy frame and adjustable handlebar make this model more than an acceptable option, along with the shock-absorbing wheels for maximum security for your little one.
The main advantage of this model is the reversible feature for rear or front-facing stroller seats.
The seats can be positioned in four different ways, including the rear-facing and front-facing positions.
It shares similar features with many other strollers, except that you don’t need two hands when you want to fold it.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to include a cup holder (not even with external adapters), but the storage space is big enough for all the things you and your baby could need.
When it comes to the adjustability of seats, this model has four reclining positions, just like the majority of other standard models on the market.
All in all, it’s definitely a strong contender for the title of best stroller for tall parents but the final decision is up to you.
10. Mountain Buggy Terrain Premium Jogging Stroller
- THREE POSITION SWIVEL LOCK FRONT WHEEL - Provides maximum control and maximum performance on any terrain while walking or jogging. Swivel, lock forwards, lock backwards or adjust the play to personalize your push
- ONE-HAND CONTROL SQUEEZE BRAKE - for hilly adventures and rough terrain;SHOCK ABSORBING SUSPENSION - a smooth push for mom and dad and a smooth ride for your baby

This is a good-quality jogging stroller that can easily switch between terrains.
It’s designed with shock-absorbing wheels and a three-way lock: forward for full control and stability, backward for control on different terrains, and unlocked for maneuvering.
Tall parents praise the adjustable handle, which is indeed a great feature, especially if one parent is short and the other one is tall.
The Mountain Buggy can easily switch to a travel system, as it’s compatible with several brands and their car seat models.
You can recline your child’s seat all the way with the double-strap system for maximum comfort.
However, some parents have noticed that the fabric on the stroller seat bunches up every time your little one sits up straight.
The seat is very spacious, so your kiddo won’t be uncomfortable, even during the longer rides.
The canopy on the stroller is waterproof and efficiently protects your little one from the sun.
However, I do wish it was a bit longer like Bumbleride’s Indie canopy.
One of the main cons would probably be the price, as it’s more on the expensive side, but that’s no surprise, considering the quality.
Many parents would agree that this model is completely underrated and definitely deserves more spotlight among the competition.
There’s only one thing you should keep in mind when using a jogging stroller and that’s the baby’s age.
Experts recommend that jogging with your little one can only form part of your daily routine when the baby is over 6 months old.
All in all, the Mountain Buggy model will fit all your needs, especially if you’re looking for a good-quality stroller.
11. Peg Perego Booklet 50
- Made In Italy. Travel System compatible with the Primo Viaggio 4-35 & Primo Viaggio 4-35 Nido car seats; The car seat can be attached directly to the strollers retractable anchors, without adapters. (Not compatible with the Primo Viaggio 4-35 Lounge car seat)
- Innovative design allows for quick and easy fold that closes inward, always keeping upholstery clean

Peg Perego is an Italian brand that has had a lot of success with its beautifully designed baby gear such as car seats and strollers.
The Booklet 50 model is fairly popular, but I wouldn’t label it as the best stroller for tall parents simply because there are less premium options with similar features.
This model comes with the standard five-point safety harness that has button holes for adjusting the shoulder straps.
The stroller seat has three different positions.
The footrest is made out of plastic, which is very convenient for cleaning, but it can’t be adjusted, so you’ll need to wait until your kiddo is big enough to finally reach it.
In addition, this model has rubber tires filled with foam.
Booklet 50 is a great choice on concrete and other smoother surfaces, but it may not be a good idea to go off terrain, as you’ll easily lose control over the wheels.
When it comes to sun protection, the canopy on this model is quite large, and it also includes a peek-a-boo window big enough for your little one to see you as well.
UPF 50+ and a good ventilation system are the most important factors during sunny days and Peg Perego delivers on both.
The brakes are easy to use, even though there are no hand brakes like on some other models.
All it takes is a single step on a pedal and the wheels will stop.
Booklet 50 isn’t the most complicated stroller to fold, but it’s not a single-hand fold, as you first have to turn the seat forward and then fold it.
However, the self-standing feature and auto-lock make it one of the solid competitors on the market.
One of the most important features for tall parents is the adjustability of the handlebar.
Well, I have good news – Booklet 50 has an ergonomic adjustable handlebar for tall people, so there’s no need to worry about hunching over or kicking the back of the stroller seat.
Finally, if you already own a Peg Perego car seat, Booklet 50 might be the best option for you, as you can attach it to the stroller without adapters.
However, the stroller is not compatible with all Peg Perego infant car seats, so double-check whether the model you own fits the bill.
Final Thoughts
Finding the best stroller for tall parents is a very challenging task because most strollers are made for people of average height.
Low handlebars can actually cause health problems for tall people because they frequently end up with chronic back pain caused by poor posture.
Also, tall people have long legs.
If the stroller doesn’t have enough space in the back, you’ll probably end up kicking the back seat of the stroller which is going to annoy you and your baby.
The best way to choose the perfect stroller is to check the height of the handlebar.
If the handle can’t be adjusted, it may still be a good choice, but only if the height fits your needs.
Keep in mind that there aren’t many umbrella strollers with adjustable handles mostly because these models are lightweight.
For example, umbrella strollers such as the Summer Infant Convenience stroller and UPPAbaby G-LITE stroller don’t have adjustable handles like the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 does, which is considered the best umbrella stroller for tall parents.
Lastly, the best stroller for tall parents is one that fits your individual needs.
Some parents might sacrifice a few inches of height for the baby’s comfort or additional features of a specific model, while others might search for the stroller with the highest handlebar.
I hope you’ve found the perfect stroller for you and your baby – if you’re still undecided, write down the pros and cons of each model you’re considering (you can check prices and other details on Amazon) and choose the model which suits you best.
Good luck!
